Phurba is smart young girl and is a leader among her friends! She loves learning about science and has dreams of becoming a doctor one day. Phurba was the youngest of seven children in a family living in a remote district and her family struggled even more after the death of her father in 2008.  Her family was unable to provide proper lodging, food or education and so ultimately her family gave up legal rights to Phurba and she came to Sagarmatha Children Home and her new life.
